We are a tiny home-business with limited availability of food items (yet lots of joy)

Background, Handling, Delivery, and Returns

I love growing and sharing food.

During the many quiet months of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 and 2021, I was very grateful to be building extra garden beds for growing herbs and vegetables. I also expanded my simple repertoire of kraut-making to include cheeses, sourdough breads, and especially homemade brews. I truly delight in all the different steps -- from building soil and tending plants, to baking, fermenting, and surprising friends with new concoctions. The Harvest Baskets are rooted in this joyful exploration.

I only intend to be the tiniest of cottage industries. Because, truly, I am doing this from a place of joy, to connect with friends and neighbors, and with the conviction that local food growing and sharing is absolutely necessary for a healthy, resilient culture.

Therefore, my customers need to be aware that I am not a commercial grower nor commercial cook, nor do I aim to become one. Everything you will find in your Harvest Basket is homegrown and/or created in my kitchen.

I keep my work areas clean; the ingredients I use for any dish or brew are fresh, healthy, and for the most part local and organic.

Packaging exists of clean paper bags, clean glass jars, clean plastic bags, etc.

There is minimal time between the picking of veggies and herbs and the preparation of food items on the one end, and the actual delivery on the other end, Times will vary between half a day to two days at most.

I use ice packages to keep items cold while delivering.

I will refund you if you are dissatisfied with the quality of any of my products, as I care about your fulfillment as well as our relationship.

Yet, I cannot be responsible for any sickness that may arise from eating any Harvest Basket foods.
